Program Schedule
Volunteers/interns can stay from a period of two weeks to six months. Your stay can be extended beyond six months on a case-by-case basis (depending upon our partner's requirements). You can start your placement on the 1st or 15th of each month. If you are a Volunteer teacher then you will or can work during school holidays if the majority of their placement is during the school term. These volunteers need to come prepared to volunteer in the orphanage program during holiday times.
Program Cost
A US$300 application fee will secure your place on the program, with your program fee due for payment four weeks before you begin your placement. You only pay your application fee once and then you can access any of Waltz Volunteers programs over the next 5 years.

Once your application fee is paid the remainder of the cost for your time in

* Cost for 2 weeks - US $350 * Cost for 3 weeks - US $475
* Cost for 2 months - US $1100 * Cost for 10 weeks - US $1350
* Cost for 3 months - US $1600 * Cost for 4 months - US $2000
* Cost for 5 months - US $2400 * Cost for 6 months - US $2600
Charges for volunteers/Interns who want to stay in a Guesthouse in
Kenya,Uganda & Tanzania program is:
* Cost for 2 weeks - US $700 * Cost for 3 weeks - US $975
* Cost for 2 months - US $2,200 * Cost for 10 weeks - US $2,700
Application Process
All applicants will be notified by email as to whether their application has been successful.
- Upon receipt of the form we will assess your suitability for the program within two working days.
- Contact You: If you are successful we will then email you a letter of acceptance.
- Decision Point: Once you have read through the letter of acceptance and we have answered any questions or concerns that you might have, it is time to pay your US $300 to secure your place on the program. Please note that we will refund your application fee if you decide not to go
- Confirmation: Once the application fee is paid, we will contact you to ensure everything is organized. We will also send you the link to our program guide which covers topics such as country information, travel links, visa application process, fundraising ideas and much more!
- Communication & Support: Throughout the application process, we are committed to working with you to answer any of your questions or concerns. During your placement we are also available as a form of support to you as a volunteer and will email you while in country to discuss how the program is going.

The in-country fee covers administrative charge, airport pickup, and transport to project (if necessary), meals and accommodation during placement, and supervision.
The other costs you will need to meet are your flights, visa, vaccinations, travel insurance, your departure from the program, and airport departure taxes. You will also need to bring additional funds to cater for all your other expenses like bottled water, personal costs, beverages and entertainment.

Qualifications:Interns,Tutors, nurses, doctors, community workers/social workers and any volunteers interested but will undertake skilled worker not directly related to their profession or if you fall under this category tutor, marketer, community worker photographer, communicator, researcher, repeater, economist, student, a medic, counselor, conservationist, animal lover or any other volunteer.
